Waterproof Jack Rabbit Review
I love both waterproof vibrators and the original Jack Rabbit.
However, I've never had the experience of both. I started out at a young age with a traditional vibrator and moved to more feature-full models from there. I discovered that waterproof vibrators were perfect for me because there's something about masturbating in the bathtub that I really enjoy. I think that's where I have the best orgasms. After several years of vibrator use I discovered the original Jack Rabbit. A friend of mine was talking about it and it sounded good so I bought one. That was several years ago and I've used mainly dual action vibrators since then because they work well for me. I suppose I was a natural choice to review the Waterproof Jack Rabbit because of my history with waterproof vibrators and my fondness for dual action vibes. This single toy has the potential to satisfy both of my cravings at once -- yummmy! | ![]()
At first glance I noticed a few of the new features vary slightly from the original. The control panel has an aluminum look and there are touch pads instead of push buttons. There are also lights to indicate vibration level and speed, and that's new as well. The jelly was upgraded to a semi-transparent purple color that's actually really pretty, and the rotating pearls got an upgrade too. In fact, the old pouch-style has been replaced by tracked stainless steel balls. There are more of them than there are on the original version, and they rotate on a track instead of floating in a pouch. The bunny stimulator also looks larger. Having said all that, I should mention that I don't care too much about the appearance of my vibrator. I suppose I do care to a degree, but if a vibrator gives me the best orgasms I've ever had then it could be brown for all I care. It is nice to use a good-looking toy, but what really counts is how it makes me feel. I'm glad the Waterproof Jack Rabbit has new and improved visual features, and I suppose I'd prefer to have an awesome and attractive vibrator than an awesome ugly one, but my main focus is on the way it works. At the time I recall hoping that all these visual upgrades were a sign that they made functional upgrades too. So far I've had five or six experiences with this vibrator and I'm impressed with its performance. The tracked balls work well and are quieter than the pouch, and the increased surface area has come in handy. I compared the tracked balls on the Waterproof Jack Rabbit to those on the original Jack Rabbit, and the surface area on the waterproof version is about double the size of the original. So far this has translated into a better experience because I don't have to put any energy into getting the balls lined up in the right spot. I didn't realize I was doing that before, but now I see that I was. It's not a huge deal...just something I noticed. I also noticed that the newer tracked balls provide a little less stimulation than the pearl pouch on the older version. Maybe that's because the pearls in the pouch are tightly packed and are jostled around quite a bit by the rotating mechanism that moves them. Whatever the case, I'm finding that the new features make up for the loss of vaginal stimulation. I've also noticed a big power increase with the Waterproof Jack Rabbit. The size of the shaft-mounted bunny clitoral stimulator is about 20% larger than it was on the older version. If you look at the egg vibrator located in the stimulator you can clearly see that the one in the Waterproof Jack Rabbit is bigger. This is a welcome upgrade, for sure. In my mind that's just what this toy needed. I've been satisfied with my old rabbit, but the increased power of the new one has me excited. On the topic of size increase, the Waterproof Jack Rabbit has a larger shaft and more pronounced ridges than the original version. There are eight or nine dots located on the shaft just underneth the head, and these dots are bigger than the older version. Honestly, I've never given those dots much thought. I suppose they're there for a reason and I imagine some women get pleasure from them, but they simply don't do anything for me. I suppose I'm neutral on the dots. They may work for some, but I insert this vibrator face down so the bunny stimulator makes contact with my clitoris. In this position the dots face down and are not a factor. I'm beginning to find my rhythm with this new vibrator. Being able to use a rabbit vibrator in the bathtub is a godsend for me! I'm used to using a slimline vibrator in the water and I'm familiar with how that goes. The Waterproof Jack Rabbit is larger and more powerful than my other vibrators and takes some getting used to, but I'm getting used to it. It does make more noise in the water than it does out of the water, but that's true for my other vibrators as well. One downside to this toy is the smell of the jelly. I've had it for about ten days and the smell is diminishing...probably because I wash it regularly and leave it out in the open where it gets plenty of fresh air. However, the smell was overpowering when I took the Waterproof Jack Rabbit out of its original packaging for the first time. It's down to a level where I don't notice it during use, and I expect it will go away completely within a short amount of time. So, what conclusions have I made about the Waterproof Jack Rabbit? Clearly it's a good choice for women who want to use a rabbit-style vibrator in the tub. Each of the upgrades and new features add either style or increased functionality and improve the original design. I could do without the strong smell, but as I mentioned it seems to be going away. If you think you might enjoy a rabbit vibrator, or if you know you'd enjoy a rabbit vibrator and think you might want to use it in the bathtub or hot tub, then the Waterproof Jack Rabbit is the right vibrator.
