X-Treme Ridged Review

and so naturally, when I heard about the X-Treme Ridged it seemed like a great vibrator for me. And I was right. From the moment I opened up the box I couldn't help but purr! The X-Treme Ridged is a sexy vibrator. It is 7.5" long (7" of which is insertable) and it's on the large side with a 1.5" diameter (about 5" circumference). The X-Treme Ridged is a pretty cobalt blue color that glows in the dark and features an aggressive criss-cross pattern to it, which turns me on.

At 25, I have a decent amount of vibrator experience, I have owned and used about 7 different vibrators and currently have several in rotation. Among them, I also own a Dazzle which is one of my favorite vibrators and even more recently the X-Treme Twist which is produced by the same manufacturer as the Ridged.

Out of the box this toy has a very nice, solid feeling to it which I really like. The surface is a semisoft 'Jell-Lee' material while under the surface it is hard and that shaft is stiff.

In comparison to the X-Treme Twist, which is made of the same basic material, theX-Treme Ridged seemed to be a lot softer and more porous and the 'skin' of the vibrator had more give to it. I liked this a lot. I also noticed that this softer material had a lot more friction to it compared to the Twist, which is smooth and slides easily.

So I finally had a chance to test out my new toy. After loading up the batteries the first thing I did was test how powerful it was. While the X-Tremes aren't the most powerful vibrators they are intense and definitely have enough power for me. Just feeling the vibrator buzzing in my hand turned me on. Most of the time I preferred to use this toy at about half power and that full power was too much sensation for more than a few moments.

I absolutely loved the way this vibrator felt inside me. The soft material of this toy has a lot of friction and I could feel the criss-cross pattern grinding every inch inside of me. Moving it slowly felt great and moving it fast was at times too much to bear. The surface of this vibrator has by far more friction than anything else I've ever used, even toys with deeper ridges, mainly due to the soft material the surface is made out of. This might be too much for some, but it is very nice when you are in a mood for something rough or if you prefer adult toys with more friction.

Another thing I loved was that this vibrator glows in the dark. After charging it up under a bright light, it glows a pretty cobalt blue. I had never used a glow in the dark vibrator in the dark before and I was pleasantly surprised. There is something very sexy about being in a dark room and watching a glowing vibrator slide inside you and feeling its vibrations. Now that I have been initiated, I am plan on using this feature frequently!

Another big reason I like this toy is that it is waterproof. Although I don't generally use my toys in the tub or in the shower, I always like having that option. I also find waterproof vibrators easier to clean off as you don't have to worry about getting water on the base.

I could only find a couple minor downsides about this toy. I found that the power control tended to be a little stiff at times. This is most likely a side effect of having a quality water proof toy, as the base and the dial are the most vulnerable parts of the toy. While this isn't a problem most of the time, once your fingers or the base gets wet you may find your fingers slipping on the dial trying to change speeds in mid-session. I also found that the wrist strap was difficult to use for me. The way it is positioned, and due to how short it is, you can't really maneuver the vibrator as well with your wrist in the strap.

Overall, the X-Treme Ridged is a great vibrator when you are in the mood for something wild. It is sexy, well made, has great power and the texture is awesome. I loved the sensation of the criss-cross ridges and the glow in the dark feature adds a whole new dimension. I definitely recommend this toy to people who love adult toys with texture.
