Amethyst Shimmer Review

In fact, I've never even used any type of sex toy. I hadn't had any desire to. My sex life has always been completely satisfying and the thought of using a sex toy had never occurred to me. I have girlfriends who use vibrators and dildos, and some even use them with their boyfriends or husbands, but that's just something that I have no experience with.

One evening not too long ago my boyfriend brought home a few sex toys to "try out". I was in the shower and he came in and asked me what I thought the Amethyst Shimmer was made of. I was quite surprised to see a vibrator in his hand. After I composed myself I took a close look at it. The outside is not perfectly smooth. It had some texture to it, although I wouldn't call it rough either. It kind of reminded me of the handles on a silverware set we have in our house, so that's what I told him. He didn't exactly agree on my assesment of the vibrator's material, but that's what it looked like to me and that's what I'm sticking with.

So I'm in the shower and I'm looking at this beautiful purple curved sex toy. My boyfriend half-jokingly says, "here, you can try it now - it's waterproof". He handed me the vibrator with a smirk on his face and walked away. I have to tell you I got hot just looking at this thing. I was surprised to be holding a vibrator out of the blue, and it was turning me on. I eventually got out of the shower and asked my boyfriend if we had any batteries. He laughed, and then got me a couple. He asked me if I wanted to try out the Amethyst, and I (to my surprise) said yes. He said OK, and I went off into the bedroom.

After I put the batteries in I turned it on and was shocked at how strong it was. It was shaking in my hand. It was turning me on, but it was funny at the same time. So I laid down and started using the toy on a low setting. I was wet before I even started, but after I got going I was glad I tried it. It's an amazing little vibrator. I came once and then felt the need to continue, so I did and I came once more, all in about 5 minutes.

I know that the Amethyst is supposed to be an anal vibrator, but I was surprised when I heard that because it worked so well on my clitoris, and I've honestly never been into anal touching let alone an anal sex toy. I've always had clitoral orgasms, so that's how I used the Amethyst. The outer surface is perfect for stimulating me internally and externally. Sometimes I use it internally, but most of the time I rub the curved portion on my clitoris, and it always leads to strong orgasms. I don't know if it would do the same thing if the surface were smooth. The outer texture really does it for me, and I'm hooked. It's funny - my boyfriend has brought home several other adult toys since the Amethyst Shimmer. He's asked me if I want to try them and write down my thoughts for the Body Vibes review section, but right now I'm not terribly interested in anything other than the Amethyst vibrator. He brought home the Little Bunny that looked interesting, and also the Micro Pleasure Egg which looks pretty good, but right now I'm content with my Amethyst. I keep meaning to get around to trying the other two, but never seem to make it. Whenever I think of vibrators, I think of the Amethyst. Maybe someday soon I'll get around to trying a few others.
